The Norwalk Garden Club continues its tradition of planting the Norwalk Green with geraniums and ageratum around the gazebo, flag pole, and cannon just in time for Memorial Day celebrations. The vibrant flowers are enjoyed by all throughout the summer.

The Norwalk Garden Club begins the celebration of their centennial year with a cocktail party on June 7 with family, friends, and supporters. The history of the club since 1924 is being gathered into a commemorative book with photos and descriptions of activities over the last one hundred years. In June, the display cases at the Norwalk Public Library (main branch) will contain an exhibit of historical items and memorabilia related to the garden club. The culminating event of the year will be a luncheon at Shore Haven Golf Club.

Each year in June, the garden club selects a location for its annual field trip. The trips are generally within an easy drive from Norwalk and offer opportunities to observe a variety of horticultural environments. These may be world-class gardens, arboreta, nurseries, or a collection of gardens.
